Vivian Talamantes, LMSW
Hey! My name is Vivian Talamantes, and I use they/them pronouns. I work with adults who’ve had traumatic relationship experiences and now struggle to connect with themselves and others. This includes experiencing invalidation, abuse, or abandonment; living with someone experiencing physical or mental illness; having to take on responsibilities inappropriate for your role in the family; etcetera. These traumatic events can severely impact the development of skills and the vulnerability necessary to maintain healthy, lasting relationships. If this resonates with you, we’re most likely a good fit!
I work from strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed perspectives. Culturally humble care & holistic wellness are also very important to me. For those who feel more comfortable working with therapists who share their identities, here are a few of mine: queer, non-binary/gendercreative, chronically ill, neurodivergent, Latine/Xicane (with limited professional fluency in Spanish). I primarily utilize dialectical behavior therapy, although may integrate other modalities as necessary. Don’t hesitate to ask about any of the aforementioned terms and how I embody them if you’re curious.
It can be difficult to go through life feeling stuck in cycles that were passed onto you. The good part is that pleasure, security, and love is possible regardless of what you’ve been through. Strengthening your sense of self and shedding harmful relationship patterns is possible. My role is offering gentle guidance, genuine validation, and concrete skills to help you name and achieve your most important goals. I look forward to working with you soon!
I offer a sliding scale of $110-$100. I’m currently receiving supervision towards clinical licensure and do not accept insurance at this time.
I can be reached directly at (314) 800-0311 x706 or vivian.blcc@gmail.com to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I only see clients residing in MO.
